From Vienna in Austria, you drive west along the Donau River for an hour to the Wachau Valley. There is Durnstein Castle there. Richard the Lionheart, King of England was imprisoned in this castle for a year from 1192, when he was angry with the Prince of Leopold of Austria on his way home from the Third Crusade expedition.

This painting was exhibited in the Suio-kai exhibition (at the Hirosawa City Hall, Mito/Ibaraki, 2019).
