Zazen behind waterfall in early summer         
Basho (1644-1694), Japanese poet, visited this waterfall in Nikko in 1689 and composed a haiku.

This was exhibited at 21th SogoSuibokuga exibition (Aug. 4-13, 2016, National New exhibition Hall, prized with the International College Prize.

"Rear View Falls ? By crawling into the cave one gets the view of the waterfall from behind that gives it the name of “Rear View Falls.”

This painting will be dedicated to Nikko Toshogu shrine after the exhibition “Japanese mindful art” (July 21-24, 2017. Nikko Toshogu shrine).
