Osawa-pond (Kyoto, Daikaku Temple)

It was almost four o'clock in the afternoon when I arrived at the Daikaku-temple.

Quiet and noble atmosphere is drifting around the pond before sunset.

"What is the Daikaku Temple ?" It was a villa of the Emperor Saga(reign 809-823). It locates in the western area of Kyoto. The area is very popular called as Saga-no(field). The Osawa-pond is the oldest garden in Japan. Moon-viewing feast in ships was held at the harvest moon.
