Natsukusa Mugen --Summer grasses with fantasy--

Basho (1644-1694), Japanese poet, dropped in a small hill, historic battlefield, and composed a poem. He wrote in his travel writing, "On my bamboo hat spread on the ground under me, I sat weeping, unaware of the passage of time."

""Takadachi ?" It is said that the Great Samurai, Yoshitsune (1159-1189) died there at the last battle. Takadachi is a small hill near the Chuusonji's east where the Kitakami river and old battle field can be seen from there.
